Research and development in the defense sector has many positive and negative effects on the research and development of the private sector and thus on the country's competitiveness. In order to solve society's problems, there is a need to mobilize all the resources and knowledge available in society, defense knowledge is an important part of society's knowledge, and the overflow of this knowledge is mandatory. The purpose of this research is to design a model of the spillover of defense knowledge and technology to the non-defense sector to solve society's problems. The method of this research is qualitative. The data and information of this research are collected through interviews with experts. The analysis of the research data has been done using the database method. The statistical population of the research is the experts of defense organizations. The interviewees were selected by snowball method and the interviews continued until theoretical saturation. After the implementation of the interviews, open, central and selective codes were extracted. Defense knowledge spillover model was designed. The findings of the research were categorized into four dimensions of input, output, process and feedback, and the spillover model of defense knowledge and technology was introduced to the non-defense sector to solve society's problems.
