Structural-interpretive modeling of the characteristics of the war style of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the sacred defense period

The holy defense period is one of the unique moments in the history of Iran. A moment that evokes the authority and honor of recapturing occupied areas and winning amazing military victories. Explaining the method of war by J.A. Iran in the era of sacred defense is the aim of this research, in line with which the authors raised the question that the war method of J.A. How can Iran be explained in the holy defense as an important factor in gaining these victories? After discussing the theoretical issues, the most important features of the war style of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Tahami War were extracted from the available written sources (mostly from the views and statements of the war commanders). In the following, in order to validate the findings, by using the opinions of experts in the framework of completing the researcher-made questionnaire and distributing it among 15 experts, the identified characteristics were first confirmed, and then by using the structural-interpretive modeling method, the authors sought to identify the characteristics of the method. The war of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the period of holy defense and the ratio of each of the features came out with each other.
The findings of this research show that the mentioned features can be divided into three levels: infrastructure, intermediate and superstructure (according to the degree of influence and vulnerability). The main success factor of Iran's war method depends on the fact that that method is "unknown" by the enemy. Being local and faith-oriented is one of the most important features of the Islamic Republic of Iran's war style during the period of holy defense.
