Balanced deterrence and air threats reduction with emphasis on the role of defense diplomacy

Foreign policy by adopting defense diplomacy strategy as one of the effective factors on deterrence in field of confrontation and interaction with other countries, with the approach of repelling and removing threats or applying interventionist roles and imposing demands, has been considered by governments. the attitude and art of governments in smoothing the necessary platforms is effective on effectiveness of its use, so that it affects actors due to its characteristics. According to the adopted policies, Iran is always exposed to potential and imminent threats. Repelling threats, especially in the air field, is one of the tasks of the air defense network, which is being carried out based on regulations and this involves spending resources. This research seeks to analyze the role of defense diplomacy in enhancing defense deterrence against air threats, and the main question is how to play this role. The type of applied research is a case-contextual descriptive method with a mixed approach. In order to strengthen the research literature, an interview was conducted with 14 experts in this field, who were determined using snowball method, and a quantitative sample size used by Cochran's formula to answer the questionnaire was determined was also 40.During the research and based on the study of documents and interview results, the dimensions of deterrence based on defense diplomacy were determined and in summing up the direct and effective impact of defense diplomacy on defense deterrence against air threats, which is the same question and The purpose of this research was approved.
