Cultural strategic depth is one of the essential criteria for the power, success, and influence of states in cultural policymaking and enhancing soft security. This research aims to provide an epistemological alternative for establishing cultural strategic depth to guide global public opinion. The qualitative research method is based on data-driven theorizing and was conducted through semi-structured interviews with 20 professors from political sociology and international relations at Tehran University and Tarbiat Modares University (15 men and 5 women) in 2023, selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using the qualitative data analysis software MAXQDA10. The results of open and axial coding led to the identification of 89 concepts and 19 axial categories. The results of selective coding revealed that the core category is polarization, which influences the strategies of the Islamic Republic under the impact of certain causal conditions alongside some contextual and intervening conditions, resulting in implications for the feasibility of cultural strategic depth in guiding global public opinion. Therefore, the polarization capacity of Iran not only has the potential to counter and mitigate negative perceptions of the Islamic Republic among global public opinion but also serves as a strategy for creating cultural strategic depth to enhance soft security and increase the influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the international arena.
